WARSAW SIGHTSEEING

Today Join the City Sightseeing Bus Tour to Explore the City

Climb aboard a comfortable, 18-passenger air-conditioned coach and sit back and relax as you see the sights of Warsaw in the intimacy of a small group. Tours are available year round and can typically start with a hotel pick-up at 2:00 PM and end with a return drop off at 5:00 PM.

The program is flexible but includes many landmarks, including the UNESCO World Heritage-designated Old Town. Go to Castle Square and the Royal Castle, where the Polish monarchs resided from 1596 until 1795 and the Polish President briefly took residence in 1918.

Get the chance to see King Sigismund's III Column, the first secular monument in Poland. Admire the Gothic church of St. John's Cathedral, where the sarcophagi contain the remains of eminent Poles. Look at the architecture of the Old Town Market Square and Barbican, before visiting the former Jewish Ghetto.

Here, stop briefly at the Memorial to the Heroes of the Ghetto and see the awe-inspiring contemporary architecture of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Go to Umschplag Platz and Mila Street to discover the site of the bunker where the leader of the Ghetto Uprising, Mordehal Anielewicz, committed suicide.

Journey along the "Royal Route" admiring the aristocratic residences and famous monuments such as the Holy Cross Church, where an urn contains the heart of Fryderyk Chopin (1810–1849). Finally, walk through the Royal Park to experience the city's most beautiful urban oasis. Commonly know as "Lazienki" or "The Baths," the park is home to the "Palace on the Water," the lavish summer residence of the last King of Poland, Stanislaw August Poniatowski (1764–1895).

Other important places of interest you might see on the tour include the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, the Monument of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 and the Monument to the Victims of Katyn. If traffic allows, visit the Warsaw Praga District, including the National Stadium, St. Florian's Cathedral, the Orthodox Church, and Targowa and Ząbkowska Street. Discover Gdańsk from the water on board a replica of a Polish river ship used for over 400 years. Used mainly in the 18th century, this intimate, wooden, and spacious 12-seater boat will take you to places large ships are unable to go and thanks to the low number of passengers, you'll feel at ease and special.

Start the cruise from the former Gdańsk Shipyard that once was a workplace for nearly 18,000 people and unavailable to visitors for over 170 years. Gdansk Shipyard was established after 1945 in place of the former German shipyards. It was here that the "Solidarity" movement began in 1980, leading to the fall of communism in Poland.

Next, cruise on Motława River in the center of the Old Town. You’ll see many tourist attractions, including the ruins of the Teutonic castle, water gates leading to the city, the famous wooden crane from the 15th century, charming old tenement houses, and their new setting.

The restaurant is situated just outside of Krakow and overlooks beautiful Lake Kryspinów. You will be taken by double decker bus through the picturesque parts of Krakow.

The folk show dinner includes a glass of cherry vodka upon welcome, a 3-course dinner, a regional cold buffet, and a regional warm buffet. Today Visit the popular winter resort of Zakopane on a full-day private sightseeing tour from Krakow and discover Poland’s most popular resort for skiing, rock climbing, rafting, trekking, cycling and paragliding. Begin your exploration of the area by visiting the highlander’s cottage and tasting the traditional highlander cheese known as oscypek. Then, continue your tour in the Koliba Villa, the Museum of Zakopane Style.

After the visit to the museum, you will take the funicular railway to Mount Gubałówka for eye-popping views over the granite and limestone peaks. Return to the oldest part of Zakopane and wander the characterful main street of Krupówki to immerse yourself in Zakopane culture. Listen to the Podhale dialect - a language only spoken by the highlanders of the Tatra Mountains - admire beautiful handmade outfits, hear traditional music and peek into the workshops to see how the local art is made.

Before World War I, Zakopane was widely regarded as the art and culture capital of Poland, a status it earned thanks to the many artists, writers and musicians who settled there. Among them was the painter Stanislaw Witkiewicz, who established a unique mountain cottage style of architecture known as “Zakopane Style.” You can learn more at the Tatra Museum. Having returned to the oldest part of Zakopane, you will have a chance to visit the enormous regional market and have lunch in a regional restaurant serving local specialities while enjoying your free time.
