Full Description
Meet the staff at 6 AM in front of McDonald’s on Tonsai Pier. Depart to snorkel at Phi Phi Le, a smaller island situated towards the south of Phi Phi Don which was the backdrop for the movie ‘The Beach’. The water has fewer currents in the early morning meaning greater visibility for seeing colorful marine life and coral reefs. After this, proceed to the iconic Maya Bay a wonderful paradise with turquoise water. Relax and admire the remarkable scenery from ‘The Beach’ movie. After you have taken in the beauty of Maya Bay, head to the opposite side of the island to snorkel at Lohsamah Bay famous for its large soft coral reefs still in perfect condition.
Next, enjoy swimming and relaxing at Phileh Lagoon, the jewel of the Phi Phi archipelago also known as the merald lagoon. The enclosed lagoon is enclosed by jagged, towering limestone cliffs making the water extremely calm and beautiful. Some of the types of fish found at Phileh Lagoon include Rabbitfish, Rainbow and Moon Wrasses. Depart to catch sight of the iconic Viking Cave, a mysterious cave with a prehistoric-looking painting of a Viking boat on its wall. Finally, visit Bamboo Island to enjoy a picnic lunch on the white powder beach. Bamboo Island is a virgin island uninhabited by humans and less frequented by tourists. Return to Phi Phi Don Island to visit Nui Bay and Monkey bay. The intricate Nui Bay and Camel Rock formations are beautiful features to explore as a snorkeler. When a body of water is hidden behind a rock you never quite know what you might find on the other side. Camel Rock has a deeper reef and ‘wall’ marine life ecosystem quite different from the shallower reefs. At about 2:30 PM, transfer back to Tonsai Pier where your tour ends.
